July 4 U Employee of the Month
July 21, 2022

Tyler Woolsey, Systems Analyst at Logan Regional Medical Center was honored with the July 4 U Employee of the Month Award. Tyler started working at LRMC in July of 2018 in the Information Systems Department. The 4 U Award is given to employees monthly that display the 4 U attitude by going above and beyond to assist their co-workers, patients, and community.
The nomination submitted by the recent Director of Physician Practices read, "Physician Practices has been steadily working toward merging our current EMR programs (ECW & Athena) into one EMR system = Athena. The expansion has been tedious, stressful and lengthy but Tyler Woolsey has stayed true to the course. He has spearheaded the development through the entire 6 months we have been working on the merger and has never once faltered.
Not only are we taking two programs and making them one, we are also structuring a change to the names of each once of the practices which is making this merger even more complicated. Tyler has strategically worked with LifePoint, Scion, and Athena to convert Doctor Names to Practice Names, built schedules for all practices, while making sure everyone has the proper equipment needed to run Athena successfully.
Through the months, he has worked with physicians, receptionists, clinical staff and physician practice admin positions to make sure everyone is educated on Athena. He’s worked with the docs making sure their logins are successful and tokens are in place when the kick-off occurs. He has gone above and beyond to make sure everyone has what they need to have a successful merger and ultimately happy providers and staff.
Many may say he’s just doing his job, however, what he has been doing for physician practices is just part of his job. While he sits on multiple calls per day working on the Athena Merger for physician practices, he also sits on the hotline in IT fielding problem calls for the hospital or on IT calls dealing with corporate changes for the hospital. He’s also replacing copiers, working on Xerox machines, programming work stations or helping with phone lines just to name a few. But the most outstanding thing is Tyler does all of these things with smile on his face and an overwhelming calmness to his voice as he greets patients and other co-workers in the halls of the hospital and the physician practices.
Because of all these things, I believe Tyler deserves the 4U Award for being the #1 employee at Logan Regional Medical Center for July 2022. He is an awesome worker, an awesome dad and an awesome all round person who represents the hospital fully.''
The 4 U Employee of the Month receives a prime parking spot in front of the hospital and $250 to show our appreciation for everything that they do. Thank you Tyler, we are lucky to have you!
